Overall Reflection on Week 2

During the second week of this assingment we had some trouble here and there but were soon resolved with the help of Mrs King. During this week we had completed our brainstorming for our NPI and had chosen our NPI for our assingmenet. The NPI that we had chosen was Animal Welfare League Queensland. AWL is a organisation that shelters and takes care of approximately 12,000 strayed and abandoned animals on the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. My group and I had also chosen parts for what each group member would be doing as well as completing the brainstorming for our ideas of a product, which are:
- a quiz to help buyer with buying a pet
- Ads that will raise awareness for pets that are avaliable at the AWL shops

Some things that were really successful for our group during this week was:

• Our Brainstorming ideas
• Choosing our NPI
• and Choosing our Makerting Mix parts

They were successful becuase everyone had contributed to the brainstorming of ideas, as well as comming up with a solution where everyone is happy and had agreed on. Especially with choosing our NPI and Marketing Mix parts.

However there is something that could be improved on in my group, and that is getting a move on and knowing what we are doing. This is so that the group will be able to complete the assignment at a faster rate instead of a completing it all in the last week.

There were something that I had learnt when I was working on my assignment this week. I was able to learn more about my chosen NPI which is AWL. I have learnt that their website has lots of information with caring about our pets, as well as having their own online shop that sells t-shirts, pens, bags, cds etc. I had only thought that AWL was just a sheltered place for dog and didn't do things such as selling t-shirts and pens. Another thing that I had learnt during this week was; to be able tell which ideas would be more suitable for our NPI product. As while my group and I were brainstorming together with Ms King, we came up with great ideas althogether, however some of them were really not suitable as our product. e.g Bells for our product which will help people know where their pet are.

The effectiveness of the group work this week was good overall however from time to time there are everyone in the gourp including me tend to loose concetration and focus with the tasks that are needed to be completed. But overall in the end we all help one another in getting our focus back in the classes during the week.
